A new children’s learning and activity center, Itzy Bitzy Athesus Land, will open on Monday.

“Our mission is to provide parents with a comfortable space while they watch their children play, create, imagine, read, draw, write and learn to enhance their physical, mental, social and cognitive development in a safe and comfortable environment”, said Sigrid. Holts, the manager of Itzy Bitzy Athesus Land.

The center will feature different learning activities and toys such as a playhouse and restaurant, puzzles, a Montessori triangular climber with ramp, various letter and number tracing books and tools, magnetic cubes and blocks, a dollhouse and puppets. It is also possible to plan small parties and exclusive events in advance.

“It has always been my dream to have a children’s activity center where we can help nurture our children’s physical and mental health, stimulate their imagination and creativity, and improve their knowledge of different subjects,” said Dr. Ma Gladys Linsangan, the founder of Itzy Bitzy Athesus Land.

As a pediatrician, Linsangan said she is aware that children’s development is enhanced when they have different resources to practice skills used in daily life.

She said it is also important at the center to have parents and guardians present to give children an extra sense of security to explore and grow.

Itzy Bitzy Athesus Land is for ages 15 months and up. Located in Unit 109 of the Guam Business Center in Harmon, the center’s hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Admission price is on an hourly basis – $10 per hour per child and guardian; $15 for two hours per child and guardian; $20 for four hours, child and guardian.
