Bucks Co. mid-unit to open learning center in Warminster

WARMINSTER, PA – The Bucks County Middle Unit announced the opening of an interactive learning center in Warminster on Wednesday, December 8.

The Fabrication Laboratory Center, or Fab Lab Center, is a new learning center that focuses on an interactive STEAM-based learning experience. The center will offer “programs, events and activities designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and artistic expression through collaboration, communication and critical thinking,” according to a statement from Bucks IU.

CNC routers, 3D printers, a laser engraver, vinyl cutters, and silhouette makers are just a few of the tools residents can use to learn about practical skills they can use in their careers. and their daily life. Interactive robotics lessons will also be offered at the center. The implementation of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) -based courses will be available to all residents of Bucks County who want to learn new skills as the New Year approaches.

The Fab Lab Center will also offer clubs for children to learn new skills that they can incorporate into their hobbies and future careers. Engineering and design, coding and robotics, advanced coding with Arduino, community service through hydroponics, and manufacturing through digital manufacturing will be some of the clubs and classes that kids can participate in and enjoy the learning process.
