  • LEAMS Education – a pioneer of the advanced early learning program – has already embarked on new initiatives that will help educate young students and prepare them to develop the skills needed to excel in the new digital age, as the UAE government United emphasizes early education to develop advanced skills. skills adapted to the 4th industrial revolution

Dubai: the recent restructuring of the country’s education system by the UAE government, including the establishment of the Federal Authority for Early Childhood Education to develop comprehensive plans to track child development from birth to Year 4, will help prepare young students to develop crucial skills for the new digital economy fueled by the 4th Industrial Revolution – some of which have already been adopted by LEAMS Education Organization in its schools.

As the global economy embraces the 4th Industrial Revolution that is disrupting traditional brick-and-mortar businesses and industries, governments and private sector organizations now need human resources with new digital skills to manage new business processes. – which are fully digital and run on artificial technologies. Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Robotics and protected by cybersecurity. This requires an overhaul of the education system to develop better equipped human resources with the right skills.

Recognizing this, the UAE government recently overhauled the country’s education system by establishing the Federal Authority for Early Childhood Education and appointing Sara Musallam as Minister of State for Early Childhood Education.

Affiliated to the Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates, the Authority will be responsible for developing policies, strategies, legislation and programs related to the educational needs of early childhood. It will be responsible for setting regulations, standards, licensing and monitoring the country’s public and private nurseries in coordination with relevant local authorities, and working with parents to strengthen their role in early childhood.

“The correct development of our children is the guarantee of the success of our education,” said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, in a recent statement. “After consultation with my brother, President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today we are announcing a major structural change in the UAE education sector.”

Early coding, or precoding, provides children with experiences that incorporate communication, thinking, and problem solving. Children can be immersed in cross-functional activities that align with multiple domains, such as math, problem solving, communication, and literacy.

Although most educational institutions may not be aware of these changes, schools under the leadership of LEAMS Education – namely The Apple International School, The Oxford School, The Indian Academy and The Apple International Community School – have already embarked on new initiatives that are part of the new Advanced Curriculum that helps young boys and girls develop skills that will help them take on leadership roles in the new digital age.

Nabil Lahir, Managing Director of LEAMS Education, says, “As a forward-looking education group, I am pleased to announce that we have already launched some of these advanced programs to help prepare our students for the future. It is absolutely crucial to incorporate advanced technology in the early stages of education, especially coding and robotics, so that children can begin to prepare for future needs.

“Technology, innovation, analytical thinking and creativity are some of the most important aspects that need to be integrated into new education programs.

“Our approach to education is very simple: to prepare students to be better qualified for the future so that they can dominate the future job market and occupy a leading position. I am happy that the government of the United Arab Emirates has announced the restructuring of the education system – to prepare the country for the future with a population that will dominate the future.
