Chancellor Mark Mone and UWM mascot Pounce visited the Children’s Learning Center on Wednesday February 9, where they read the new children’s book ‘Hello, Pounce’ to the children together. After the reading, the children were able to meet and give a Pounce high-five, as well as receive a copy of the book.

“Hello, Pounce” depicts Pounce’s adventures as he moves around campus enjoying a variety of academic and social experiences highlighting life at UWM. The authors of the book, chosen by the UWM Alumni Association for their experience in children’s literature and education, are Donna Pasternak, professor emeritus of English education at UWM, and Hope Longwell-Grice, dean senior associate at the School of Education.
