New Delhi [India], Oct 29 (ANI): With Walmart Vriddhi’s Supplier Development Program, Indian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) now have the opportunity to engage in interactive online training experiences and one-on-one mentoring, with access to resources and experts to support growth, the company statement said.
“This supports Digital India’s goals by providing MSMEs with the tools to adopt new technologies in order to grow their businesses,” the statement said.
The Walmart Vriddhi program was launched by Walmart Inc. in December 2019 with the aim of enabling 50,000 Indian MSMEs to “Make in India” for national and global supply chains.
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak, the company said the program has been revamped to focus on digital experiences, which has allowed it to roll it out to more MSMEs.
“Going forward, it will offer a mix of digital and in-person training, mentoring and networking experiences through physical Vriddhi institutes when conditions are right,” the company added.
“Walmart Vriddhi provides opportunities for MSMEs to sell through Walmart’s supply chains or the open market. No matter where they are in their journey and whatever their growth aspirations, this openness makes the program unique and place. the supplier at the center of everything we do, “said Judith McKenna, President and CEO of Walmart International.
