ZEDEDA Launches Edge Academy, Creating the Industry’s First Learning Center for Edge Computing

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ZEDEDA, a leader in edge orchestration, today announced the launch of the ZEDEDA Edge Academy, the industry’s first free online hub with educational resources about edge computing and the ZEDEDA solution to unlock a company’s digital future at the edge.

The academy’s self-paced video tutorials will help everyone learn about the unique challenges of distributed edge computing and how ZEDEDA’s open orchestration framework provides organizations with the agility and future-proofing they need to digitally transform their operations with edge solutions. The academy will work alongside the ZEDEDA Help Center, which hosts technical knowledge base articles, to enable anyone to more effectively define, design, deploy, manage and secure large-scale edge computing projects.

“We understand that delivering a blended approach to educational resources to our customers and partners is key to their long-term success in orchestrating distributed edge nodes,” said Kevin Freitas, Senior Director of Learning and ‘Edge Academy. “We are excited to announce Edge Academy as another key learning resource for personnel responsible for centrally managing secure devices and orchestrating applications at the edge through the ZEDEDA solution.”

Educational efforts support growth in the amount of money that IT and OT organizations invest in edge computing projects. The Edge Computing Landscape 2021 report, sponsored by ZEDEDA and conducted with EMC Research, found that 77% of respondents expect to increase spending on edge computing projects in 2022 and 74% expect this increase reaches 25%.

“The incredible speed of adoption of edge computing is placing tremendous pressure on distributed organizations to quickly understand why, how, and where edge computing should be applied to achieve business and digital transformation goals. said Said Ouissal, founder and CEO of ZEDEDA. “As a leader in creating effortless and inherently secure edge computing, we believe we should make edge computing accessible to everyone, and the academy will help people prepare for the next era of IT in IT infrastructure.”

After creating a free account, users can gain proficiency and confidence through e-learning courses and video tutorials. The Academy’s ZEDCloud channel features quick explainer videos on ZEDEDA’s edge orchestration offering, while a dedicated EVE-OS channel dives into the industry-leading EVE-OS operating system. The company leverages the Linux Foundation’s EVE-OS as a leading component of its orchestration solution, and these resources complement those available in the Project EVE open source community.

Edge Academy also features recorded sessions from ZEDEDA Transform, its annual industry conference that brings together experts from across the edge computing and IoT landscape to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities.
